AMD 5, Sean Cope

For my AMD i decided to read the suggested Wikipedia article. The article focused on the topic of an evolved german language featuring a combination of modern english words into the the german vocabulary (typically the younger generations), but also noted the reverse of broken english mixed in with german words for those who are just learning english. This combo language is similar to spanglish, but with broken german instead of broken spanish. I found it very funny that at fast food (drive-in) restaurants it is not uncommon to change the words on the menu into german but rather to just keep a combination of the german words surrounding the food items (even though a first semester german student would be able to read the main ingredients in a bacon cheese burger). Overall this short article was pretty interesting to read. I assume this is a reliable wikipedia page, but one should always be skeptical of wiki pages. As far as words that are pseudo-anglicisms go i have thought since the first day of class that the vocabulary word handy was basically just a word carried over from English, because it was so modern and close to what a cellphone would possibly be called in slang.
