AMD #4, Sean Cope

For my AMD I decided to take a trip and do something fun with my freundin for the last part of Spring Break. We decided on going to Frankenmuth, Michigan, and spending the night. We left Ann Arbor Friday night and got up there and spent the night. In the morning we went to Frankenmuth and walked around. When you first arrive in the city there is a sign that says willkommen. This greeting is also found on a sign in front of or above a few of the stores and restaurants. We walked around the German style town and stopped at a few of the shops, most of which were filled with German souvenirs. Every employee we saw was either wearing a full-length white German dress, or for the males some fancy lederhosen. At lunch time we ate at Zehnder’s Restaurant. We ordered the famous chicken dinner, that they have come to be known for. The first dish of the meal consisted of Brot mit Kirschmarmelade and Krautsalat. The main course consisted of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, breaded noodles, and Spätzle. After the meal we walked around a little more before heading out to Broner’s to complete a very fun, and educational trip to the Little Germany of Michigan.
