AMD2, Sean Cope

For my AMD this week i decided to try to have a conversation with a friend who took German at my high school and who participated in the schools German exchange program. After explaining to him that i was starting German in college and having him laugh at me for not starting it in high school (i took spanish...) he agreed to have a conversation with me.

We started off with a nice greeting, just for the sake of trying to extend the conversation to the full extent of my german abilities i asked him what his name was, he responded "mein name ist Kevin Davis."

After everything i asked him he asked me basically the same question back to me, and he made me lead the entire discussion, whether that was because he didn't want to surpass my german or because he just didn't want to think was pretty clear to me. haha.

we talked about what we thought of the University of Michigan, and described some of the people we knew from high school as they appear to act now.

and finally to wrap up the conversation we asked about each others families. In a mature college fashion he made a joke about my mother in german, unfortunately i don't remember it.

Overall this cultural experience was very laid back and a funny way to catch up with a friend that i haven't seen in a few weeks.
