Kultur 4-Sean Cope

The first article about bikes was pretty much what i expected. I feel like the American car first mentality is very silly when you are only going a few miles down the street. However the fact that they will just hit you rather then steer away is just foolish. We have separated bike lanes that are on the road, which it sounds like that is what Germany should do. Put those arrogant bikers on the street too and make them follow the law of the road- the bigger vehicle is alway right, not against someone with out a vehicle, but against someone who will be in a 2 ton box of metal.

Im pretty sure you mentioned something about the cross walks once in class, and that is just crazy when nobody walks when the light is on stop. Heck in ann arbor people just walk when they want to, and dont even care if there is a pedestrian light in the first place. So this seems really strange to me. But very safe for kids, we teach look both ways first, they teach you better look at that sign or youll die.

That article was short, all you have to do to avoid this is ask which does this work on, not to hard. but i feel like a lot of tourists would get busted with this very often cause who would even think of that.

I am a fan of the honor system, because i feel people are going to try to follow it even if they think nobody is watching. in the case of this article it is funny how they make it seem strict but rare that you will get caught, so it makes me curious how often they actually board a train and check to see who has a ticket.

That is actually really scary to have 2 one ways on one pole, whether the streets are separated or not. but i believe that they are a very organized culture and that they take great pride in the small clean organized details.
